The Financial Policy Analysis Directorate focuses on analysing and overseeing financial economic policy and EU legislative initiatives related to the financial sector. It monitors the local and international financial environment, engages in inter-agency initiatives on banking and financial sector supervision and represents Malta at EU level on financial services committees.

The Directorate monitors financial conditions from a macro-prudential perspective, contributes to inter-agency initiatives on banking and financial sector supervision, and represents Malta’s interests at EU levels in relation to financial services issues.
